An email alias is not a VPN exit
Apple Hide My Email creates random forwarding addresses and allows address management or deactivation. It concerns sharing an email address, unlike VPN network routing. Do not confuse it with iCloud Private Relay.
Trace the email by address
- Confirm the address actually registered and redact full addresses and codes; avoid creating multiple accounts merely because mail is delayed.
- If Hide My Email was used, inspect its address record under Apple Account and iCloud in iPhone settings; menus vary by version.
- Check whether the alias remains active and where it forwards. Do not deactivate or delete an address used for account recovery as a test.
- Inspect the destination inbox, spam and filters. Request one new message after the website’s resend interval and use the latest code.
- If alias ownership or destination access is unclear, use official recovery/support. Never send codes or mailbox passwords to support.
- Keep request time and a redacted error; investigate connectivity separately if the web request itself also fails.
Avoid overinterpreting mail failure
A working page does not establish message delivery, and missing mail does not prove VPN disconnection. No Yunbao Hide My Email login feature is claimed; follow actual client and website login options.
