iPhone VPN and Missing Local Devices: Network Checks

When websites load but a TV, printer or another local device cannot be found, identify the app and target first. Internet access and local discovery are separate observations; the timing of a VPN connection alone does not establish a cause.

Check the app requesting access

Apple provides Local Network controls under Settings > Privacy & Security. Denying this permission does not disable all internet access. Review the app searching for the device, rather than enabling every Yunbao permission by default.

Test permission and connection separately

  1. Note the phone Wi-Fi, target device and casting or printing app.
  2. Find that app in the Local Network permission list and review access according to your needs and trust.
  3. On the same network, record whether that app finds the same device with the VPN disconnected and connected.
  4. If both trials fail, check device availability and network membership first. If only the connected trial fails, send the comparison to app support.

Do not infer routing features from this check

This is a diagnostic comparison, not a claim that Yunbao supports LAN bypass or per-app routing. Share the device category and observations without publishing home addresses, printer passwords or account details.
