Website Updated but Still Looks Old on VPN? Cache Checks

If someone sees a new button while you see old styling, compare the complete domain, path and language first. Browser cache is one possibility, not proof that a VPN route cached the entire site.

Content updated:

Separate cache from sign-in data

Google explains that cache retains page content such as images; clearing cache and cookies can help investigate display issues, but clearing cookies may require signing in again. Do not start by deleting passwords, history and all site data.

Start with the same URL and minimal change

  1. Compare the full domain, path and language rather than an old bookmark or another guide.
  2. Save unfinished forms and reload outside sensitive operations, noting exactly which text or style remains old.
  3. Keep network and route fixed and inspect the same public page in another existing browser, excluding account-specific content.
  4. If clearing data is needed, review time range and selected items and choose only the cache needed for this test, not cookies, passwords or history by default.
  5. Compare the same address again. If differences remain, send URL, screenshot, browser version and time to site support instead of repeatedly changing routes or wiping data.

Page freshness is not the app version

A new page does not mean the installed Yunbao client updated, and download-button text is not running-version evidence. Recovery after a cache change describes that display result, not VPN speed or universal update propagation.
