Check whether the control applies
Microsoft distinguishes apps with Windows background permissions from desktop programs managed through their own controls. A missing permission entry is not proof of a damaged installation. Keep the PC awake: this comparison concerns app state, not wake-from-sleep reconnection.
Compare one repeatable task
- Record app name, version, task and pause time without running several sync jobs at once.
- Inspect the target app’s advanced options under Windows installed apps. Record any original background permission; consult IT on managed PCs.
- For desktop programs or missing controls, use that app’s official guidance on background, tray and window-close behavior.
- Keep the network and VPN fixed. Run a small task in front, then minimize and compare. Temporarily adjust only the target app, considering battery and data charges.
- Restore the needed power setting and repeat. Report background-only failure to app support; inspect basic connectivity if all apps lose access.
Keep changes limited
Do not allow every program unlimited background use or disable security and company policies for one sync test. A foreground success covers that task only and does not establish Yunbao background persistence or automatic reconnection.
